2018 Quilt Show Brings A Stash Of Americana To Santa Clarita

The 2018 Quilt Show, presented by the Santa Clarita Valley Quilt Guild, took place at William S. Hart Park on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10.

The 2018 Quilt Show was the first show presented by the Santa Clarita Valley Quilt Guild in seven years, according to Kristeen Dolan, Chairwoman for the show.

“We’re displaying 80 plus quilts, and some are very large bed quilts, some are very small art quilts,” Dolan said. “But we also have things that are not quilts, like jackets and tuffets. We also have vignettes of antique sewing machines, ironing boards, irons, and very interesting historic things.” As well as displaying a variety of quilts, the show features many vendors with unique items for sale, as well as a silent auction and a food truck. “We have a number of vendors out in the backyard under the trees,” Dolan said. “It’s absolutely beautiful. We have lots to buy and lots to see.”
