The City of Santa Clarita’s Arts and Events Office and Santa Clarita Arts Commission seek art entries for several exhibits and performances throughout the year. Check back regularly to see what’s coming up. Several other organizations in the area also regularly seek artists and performers. CALL FOR ART: Thursdays@Newhall Art Walk – The Thursdays@Newhall event series presented by the Valencia Auto Center will be hosting a FREE, self-guided Art Walk that will occur on August 9, 2018. The Art Walk will span two blocks of Main Street in Old Town Newhall and is open to artists of all disciplines!

CALL FOR PUBLIC ART: Skate Park – The City of Santa Clarita (City) is accepting applications from artists or team of artists who would like to be considered for a permanent artwork in a local community skate park. The selected artist will be required to engage the local skate park community before presenting their project proposal. There is no overarching theme or required medium for this call. The theme will be determined from the artist’s engagement with the skate park community. Deadline July 9, 2018.

CALL FOR PUBLIC ART: Fair Oaks Park  – The City of Santa Clarita (City) is accepting applications from artists or teams of artists who would like to be considered for a permanent sculpture or installation artwork for Fair Oaks Park, a local community park located in Canyon Country.  The overarching theme for this call is ‘reflection’ as in meditative, contemplative, and the calm that comes with being in nature.  Deadline July 13, 2018.

FINE CRAFT SHOW – The City of Santa Clarita is seeking artists and fine craft vendors for the 27th Annual Fine Craft Show held December 1 and 2, 2018.

10 by 10 – Variety night giving ten selected entertainers the chance to take the stage for a ten-minute performance of their choosing. Audience members will enjoy storytelling, magic, comedy, improv, music, and other forms of entertainment at this ever changing event.

NOTE by NOTE – Songwriter’s night giving professional and aspiring songwriters the chance to showcase their songs in front of a live audience and an opportunity for fans to hear new music. Each songwriter selected will perform four original songs of their own composition.


Additional Opportunities

SCVTV Arts & Culture Show SCVTV is creating an Arts & Culture show to promote arts and culture in the Santa Clarita Valley. Throughout the show, they will be running interstitials featuring a variety of art forms and are seeking videos/slideshows from artists and performers.

LCAZ Productions – Looking for Actors ages 15-20 for “27 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview.”
