CalArts Grads’ Animated Film ‘Coco’ Sweeps 45th Annie Awards

Disney/Pixar’s “Coco,” co-written and co-directed by CalArts grad Adrian Molina, won “Best Animated Feature” and 10 more trophies in its sweep of the 45th Annual Annie Awards Saturday night at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

Molina also shared Annies for “Best Writing in an Animated Feature Production” with Matthew Aldrich, “Best Direction in an Animated Feature Production” with Lee Unkrich, and “Best Music in an Animated Feature Production” with Michael Giacchino, Kristin Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez and Germaine Franco.
