“Phobik God” Graphic Novel Art Exhibit on Display at The MAIN in October

Starting Tuesday, October 3, 2017, the gallery in The MAIN, an arts venue in Old Town Newhall, will feature “Phobik God,” a new exhibit of graphic novel style acrylic pieces by Hollywood artist Phobik.  The solo exhibit will be on display the month of October and invites the audience to journey into Phobik’s imagination, exploring the mythology behind a protagonist: Phobik God. The public is invited to visit the free gallery Tuesday through Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., located in The MAIN at 24266 Main Street in Newhall.

Residents are also invited to attend a free art reception for the exhibit on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Participants will enjoy light appetizers, entertainment, and a chance to meet the artist.

Phobik is a self-taught artist out of Hollywood, California. From graphic novel illustration and fine art to mural and interior design, Phobik’s artwork transcends multiple styles.  Phobik draws inspiration for his original comic book illustrations from his personal experiences growing up in Hollywood along with influences from the He-Man cartoon series.

Phobik’s work has been showcased in international galleries and his murals in Los Angeles have been archived by The Google Street Art Project and have been awarded recognition by the City of Los Angeles.
