First Floor Gallery

The First Floor Gallery runs along the first floor hallway located inside City Hall. The space showcases thematic group exhibits across various themes and mediums, celebrating the broad artist talent of Santa Clarita and surrounding areas. The First Floor Gallery is also home to the “City of Golden Dreams” mural painted by Miguel Angel Ramirez.

Old Town Newhall Library Branch

This exhibit space is located inside the library’s Community Room, where community members gather for classes, meetings, and workshops. This space collaborates with local and non-profit organizations like Santa Clarita Artist’s Association and Santa Clarita Valley Photographer Association to display group artwork. The room also features the “Adventures in Fantasy” mural, painted in 1976 by artists Kurt Conner and Jedd Strange and originally housed in Newhall’s historic Pardee House.

Newhall Community Center Gallery

The Newhall Community Center is a popular gathering place for Santa Clarita Valley residents of all ages to participate in classes and other activities. The exhibit space, which houses mostly group but some solo displays, runs along the hallway that leads to the classrooms.  The Newhall Community Center is also home to the “Community in Action” mural, a project of ­­­the Special Children’s Art Foundation.

Hanging above the children’s area in Valencia Library displays five original art pieces created specifically for this space. A call is sent out in the middle of the year, searching for five individual artists to submit proposals for a chosen theme. Selected artists are provided a 5-foot by 5-foot canvas to create their proposal, displaying the art for a year. These art pieces offer a unique and creative experience for children and families.

This exhibit is located in the heart of Valencia Library, right past the reception desk. The space highlights local artists, displaying solo exhibitions showcasing artists’ portfolios. Visit Valencia library to get to know local artists from the community.

Canyon Country Community Center Gallery

The new Canyon Country Community Center’s foyer is dedicated to showcasing various solo exhibitions. Community members utilize the facility for multiple opportunities, including workshops, sports, and events. The exhibit space offers a unique setting to guests visiting the facility. Canyon Country Community Center is also home to various public art projects, like the Communitree and Circle Song.

This space is located in the lobby of The MAIN theatre in Old Town Newhall and focuses on exhibiting a more contemporary approach to art by local and regional, up-and-coming and established artists. The gallery showcases a solo exhibit by a new artist every month and hosts an artist reception on the third Thursday of each month.
