August 25, 2017 through January 5, 2017
Old Town Newhall Library

Santa Clarita, CA 91321
This unique and diverse exhibit of Native art explores the idea of our inter-relationship with the four “relatives” of our human peoples: the Stone People, the Plant People, the Animal People and the Spirit world. Neshkinukat in Luiseno means “One Who Has Relatives.” In Lakota the meaning is “We Are All Related.” Through the art we can see the ways we are inter-connected, and that Spirit resides in all. A variety of mediums will be displayed: ceramics, gourd art, paintings, photographs and mixed media.
