The Young Artists and Authors Showcase (YAAS) is an annual contest that encourages youth from around the globe to express the mission of Sister Cities International through original artwork, literature, film, and photography.
Santa Clarita is a participating city in this program and has been given the opportunity to show the winners of their Young Artists and Authors Showcase of 2019. The theme for 2019 was “Global Citizens: Resilient Communities.” One of the essay finalists is a member of Santa Clarita. So it will be a great opportunity for the community to showcase work from a program we participate in.
