On Friday, May 19, the Herb Alpert Foundation and CalArts awarded the 23rd Annual Herb Alpert Award in the Arts (HAAIA) to five exceptional mid-career artists. The awards recognize past performance and future promise, and each artist receives an unrestricted prize of $75,000.
